Thali is returning to Weymouth’s award wining Indian Restaurant Shalims Balti House
Thali is a selection of five different and unique dishes (meat or vegetarian options) served with rice and nan bread. Each and every Wednesday evening from now until 27 March Shalim will be serving up these tasty dishes alongside their normal restaurant menu.
Shalim says “It’s a great way to try some dishes. Lots of people go out for a curry and stick to their usual dishes. They don’t want to try something new that they may not like. Our Thali nights gives you the chance to try 5 small Thali dishes and not have to worry about ordering the wrong dish.”
The name Thali comes the dish in which it is traditionally served (usually a metal platter with small, fitted bowls known as Katori). It is a perfectly balanced meal and gives you the opportunity to taste many Indian dishes at the one sitting. Shalim continues “Plus the great thing is no two weeks will be the same, each time you come back there will be something new to try.”
